Millennium Fellowship Project: Inclusity of Marginalized Groups in Driving Global Agenda
The project was about working with refugees,persons living with disability,orphans,those infected with HIV,youths ,street kids, women and the marginalized communities to enable them have a say in the socioeconomic and political policy decision making through proper training and linking them with different local and multinational corporations for employment to ensure diversity in any workplace .we will help in building the capacity and capability for their employability in different sectors of the economy.For the refugees, we will work on their integration into the national economic and political ecosystem by working with different agencies
About the Millennium Fellow
Erick Ogolla is a futuristic, progressive, assertive, articulate, open-minded, and pragmatic student at the University of Nairobi pursuing Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He was born and raised up in Kenya. He has always advocated the rights of refugees, orphans, immigrants, persons living with disability, those infected by HIV and AIDS, marginalized communities and groups to ensure their integration into the national socioeconomic and political decision-making and their representation in the national workforce to ensure proper diversity in the workforce in both the national government and other private companies. He has advocated for integrating refugees and other marginalized groups by building capacity and capability through training such groups, imparting necessary skills, and linking them with different companies for employment through proper partnership. He has also ensured the rights and the voice of such groups are considered when any policy or decisions are made in the national discourse through their participation by creating inclusive fora. He has advocated for the refugees to be trained and employed since education and employment are universal human rights to have an impactful social benefit to their families and community as per the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
