" I anticipate to be a Millennium Fellow with the drive for change. It feels good to bring and be part of something that eases the pain of others. I am trying to be the help and support I wish I had from the time I was diagnosed when I was so young. Making the world a better place brings me satisfaction. Seeing somebody be free of mental and emotional torment after going through those rough moments makes me feel like I am sharing in their joy. We all need to hear that we are not alone. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sensitizing Masses on Mental Health Disorders.

My project involves sensitizing the masses on mental health disorders. I aim to make people in Kenya more aware on how to spot the differents signs of variuos mental disorders and challenges. Further, I plan to look into how to make the mental disorders bearable or manageable individuals going through them. For example, champion for the subsidization of antidepressants, anti-anxiety medication or an other drugs used, setting up of help care hotlines and so much more.
