United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Nourish And Grow

The nourish and grow project is an initiative aimed to foster the holistic development of children by focusing on both mental and physical well being.
It emphasizes the importance of balanced nutrition ,regular physical activity and stimulating educational environment through mentorship that nurtures curiosity and critical thinking.
It advocates for strong community and parental involvement in the African communities ensuring a supportive and enriched learning echo system.
The nourish and grow project aims to equip children with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in all aspects of life ,fostering resilient ,healthy and well rounded individuals.

About the Millennium Fellow

Wairimu Lucy wanjiku is an enthusiastic and persistent student who is always eager to learn and understand the world around her.Lucy enjoys the process of discovery and values creativity and critical thinking always seeking new perspectives.Lucy has a way of overcoming challenges that arise in life which is fueled by her determination to grow and improve.
Lucy is currently a student at the university of Nairobi pursuing Electrical and electronics engineering which is inspired by the course being the heart of modern technology therefore offering an opportunity to innovate and contribute to solving some of the world's most pressing problems one of them being developing sustainable energy solutions.
Lucy was born and resides in Nairobi ,Kenya.
Lucy has always been passionate about working with children ,she finds something incredibly rewarding about helping young minds grow and flourish through education,mentorship, support and encouragement .
Lucy finds joy in creating environments where kids feel safe ,valued and inspired,to Lucy there is nothing more fulfilling than witnessing the curiosity and creativity of children and knowing she played a part in nurturing their potential.
Lucy is eager to perticipate in the Millennium Fellowship program because it aligns perfectly with her commitment to making a meaningful impact in the lives of young people.
