About the Millennium Fellow
Mitchelle Peris Mudibo Tendet is a Kenyan Undergraduate Student at the University of Nairobi. She is also a research assistant for EACC. and an environmental Enthusiast. She lives in Nairobi but is descendant from three native tribes in kenya, the Luhya, Luo and the Sabaot. Growing up in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya which is acompletely urban set up, seeing the difference between her life and the lives of her community people made her realize the differrence was both a blessing and a curse. So many healthy practices for the environment by the native people, but such a great disconnect in terms of education and awareness to the same. Peris realized she could actually do something about it during her first data collection expedition in 2023, learn and unlearn and spread this word throughout her country, throught the world.
