" As a Millennium Fellow, I am excited to collaborate with passionate individuals who share a commitment to creating meaningful social impact. The opportunity to learn from and contribute to a global community fuels my drive to make a difference, transforming challenges into solutions that uplift communities. Especially among youths struggling with alcoholism. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Wezesha Kaka

This is a project aimed at empowering the boy-child in our African society which seems to have been forgotten in the process of empowering the girl-child. It is an initiative whose need stems from the evident decline of the boy-child. Many Boys and young men are youth being neglected and they end up either dropping out of school or falling into the arms of drug abuse. This can be attributed to many of them lacking guidance from prominent or successful male figures. Most who end up in such situations come from broken families that often don't have a father figure involved while growing up. A good example is that of the central region where so many young men fall into alcohol abuse and drug abuse. They end up having little to show for their lives and instead, they are perceived as drunkards who made poor decisions in life, and yet more often than not it is not entirely their fault rather it is a manifestation of inadequate guidance as they grew up due to being neglected since in the present the society is focussed more on empowering the girl-child.
