About the Millennium Fellow
Stacey Melvine Akinyi is a bright young and globally competetive Gender and Development student at the University of Nairobi,Kenya.She was born in Homabay, Kenya and raised in Nairobi Kenya, currently studying Virtual Assurance short term course for her long holidays at Alison.com,trully she is a focused lady. Stacey has always been passionate about poverty eradication and women empowerment which lead her to choose Gender and development studies despite qualifying for other courses. Her experiences locally within their community and in highschool pushed her to put more effort and encourage other girls at school and home that they have potentials to exploit and that they are the agents of development and a better future. Now at college, though a first year,she's planning to start projects that encourage young girls and women to develop their own autonomy and aid in eradication of poverty.Stace aspires to be in a professional field that aims at contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable development goals most so advocating for women's rights and eradication of poverty.
