United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Giving Project
Green Giving project is a project which was focused on two main SDGs, zero hunger and climate action, in this project we planted and distributed over 1000 fruit trees in our community while prioritizing mothers and the elderly. It is a project that impacted over 500 people in our community, and we have been following up with the families who received the fruit trees and the results are promising.
About the Millennium Fellow
Fida Cyizere Kantashya is a courageous, motivated and smart young lady. She was born and raised in nothern Province of Rwanda, and is currently studying Horticulture at the University of Rwanda Busogo campus. Being young lady in agriculture sector made her think about increasing agriculture productivity by reducing the effect of climate change on the production.
Fida got different opportunities to develop her skills through participating in different projects of AIESEC Rwanda and being in Organizing Committe of UNLEASH Hack Kigali.
Fida is looking forward to use the skills from the previous opportunities to make meaningful impact in Agriculture Sector.
