United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Giving Project

Green Giving project is a project which was focused on two main SDGs, zero hunger and climate action, in this project we planted and distributed over 1000 fruit trees in our community while prioritizing mothers and the elderly. It is a project that impacted over 500 people in our community, and we have been following up with the families who received the fruit trees and the results are promising.

About the Millennium Fellow

Achille Igiraneza, a dedicated Rwandan student at the University of Rwanda Busogo, serves as the student spokesperson. He is also a co-founder of IMENA Postharvest Solutions and the Rwanda Crop Sciences Students Association. Driven by a passion for agriculture and social development, Achille is committed to learning and advancing sustainable practices. His dedication extends to his role as a volunteer at the Careers and Employability Services Center, where he contributes as a Public Relations and Communications Officer. Achille’s hard work and enthusiasm are evident in his focus on SDGs 1 (No Poverty), 2 (Zero Hunger), and 13 (Climate Action)
