ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2024

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Giving Project

Green Giving project is a project which was focused on two main SDGs, zero hunger and climate action, in this project we planted and distributed over 1000 fruit trees in our community while prioritizing mothers and the elderly. It is a project that impacted over 500 people in our community, and we have been following up with the families who received the fruit trees and the results are promising.

About the Millennium Fellow

Jean Claude Ishimwe is undergraduate student pursuing forestry and nature conservation at university of Rwanda( busogo campus). He was born in Rwanda and he is residing in Rwanda. Jean Claude has been passionate for making an impact for climate change mitigation and adaptation and also has been joining different leadership short courses to help the community to lead their small agricultural related projects. throughout his current university journey he has successfully organized planting trees campaign for cooler tomorrow and training his comrades through beyond success program founded by Dr. John Calvin Maxwell to nurture younger professional to live intentional life. Jean Claude wishes to start a project of poultry farming to address united nations sustainable development goals but also enhancing leadership skills in his career in order to live a significant life across the globe.
