By enhancing leadership and partnership skills, this fellowship will empower us to deepen our outreach, collaborate effectively, and inspire African youth in agriculture, ultimately fostering a sustainable future for Rwanda. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Giving Project
Green Giving project is a project which was focused on two main SDGs, zero hunger and climate action, in this project we planted and distributed over 1000 fruit trees in our community while prioritizing mothers and the elderly. It is a project that impacted over 500 people in our community, and we have been following up with the families who received the fruit trees and the results are promising.
About the Millennium Fellow
David KWIHANGANA started his journey with dreams of becoming a Medical Doctor, but along the way, he found a deeper calling in agriculture. After noticing how many young Africans, like himself, were disconnected from the agricultural sector, he felt compelled to make a change. This realization led him to co-found the Rwanda Crop Scientist Student Association, where he works passionately to ignite interest in agriculture among his peers. Currently studying Horticulture at the University of Rwanda, David is dedicated to using education and community outreach to empower the next generation of African agricultural leaders. His mission is to show young people that agriculture is not just about farming—it's about securing the future of our continent.
