United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Giving Project

Green Giving project is a project which was focused on two main SDGs, zero hunger and climate action, in this project we planted and distributed over 1000 fruit trees in our community while prioritizing mothers and the elderly. It is a project that impacted over 500 people in our community, and we have been following up with the families who received the fruit trees and the results are promising.

About the Millennium Fellow

Fleury Patience Rubayita is a Rwandan citizen pursuing her education at the University of Rwanda's Faculty of Agroforestry. Driven by a deep passion for environmental resource conservation, she dedicates herself to studying sustainable practices that balance agricultural needs with forest preservation. As a student, Fleury actively engages in research and fieldwork, seeking innovative solutions to address Rwanda's environmental challenges. Her commitment to agroforestry reflects a broader vision of promoting ecological balance and food security in her homeland. Fleury's academic journey is shaped by her desire to contribute meaningfully to Rwanda's sustainable development and natural resource management.
