Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Indurance Initiative
My project is all about transforming agricultural wastes and kitchen wastes into organic fertilizers, pesticides and also energy for cooking and electricity. Firstly,The idea came after releasing how much wastes are being exposed in our environment as well as too much relying on artificial fertilizers in agriculture within my region which has been resulting to declined crop yield. Secondly, I read through world Bank reports where it States that 600million of African citizen still lack access to electricity. Therefore, it leads to poor social working. So my project (solution)is solving all these problems by enhancing agriculture sustainability through promoting Organic farming using Organic fertilizers, pesticides and sustinable energy through recycling agriculture wastes and kitchen wastes into reliable, clean and affordable energy. My project doesn't stop on production of those products I mentioned above. Also, it works on dissemination of benefits of Organic farming and renewable energy through extension services.
