Millennium Fellowship Project: Cooling Chamber in Rural Areas
This project aims to create affordable, solar-powered cooling chambers in rural areas to preserve perishable agricultural products like fruits, vegetables, and dairy. Using solar energy, these chambers will reduce post-harvest losses, extend shelf life, and improve food security in off-grid communities. The system will consist of solar panels, energy storage (batteries), and an efficient refrigeration unit, providing a sustainable and cost-effective solution for small-scale farmers. The project will help farmers store produce for longer periods, reduce spoilage, and access larger markets, improving their income and food availability.

Hadasa Manishimwe, a young and student, she born in Rwanda country located in Africa continent. She has been selected for the prestigious Millennium Fellowship. With her dedication and passion for creating positive change in society, she aims to utilize this opportunity to make a lasting impact. Through her involvement in the fellowship, she plans to leverage her skills and knowledge to address pressing global challenges, contributing towards a better future.
