United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering The Market

By briefly explained ,The "Empower for Market Success" project aims to address poverty by empowering University of Rwanda Nyarugenge campus students with market-oriented skills and promoting responsible consumption and production practices. Beginning with a thorough needs assessment, the project identifies specific challenges students face regarding market success and sustainability. Its goals include connecting various university clubs and associations to collectively tackle poverty and promote responsible practices. Activities include organizing workshops, seminars, and training sessions to educate students about sustainable consumption and production, as well as facilitating skill-building sessions focused on entrepreneurship and product development. Collaboration among clubs and associations is fostered to leverage resources and expertise. The project emphasizes innovation aligned with market demands while prioritizing social and environmental responsibility. Monitoring and evaluation mechanisms ensure the project's impact on students' knowledge and behavior change is assessed. Partnerships with local businesses, NGOs, and government agencies support project implementation and sustainability. Overall, the project aims to create a long-lasting impact by integrating activities into university curricula and securing funding for ongoing support. Through effective communication and outreach strategies, the project raises awareness and engages stakeholders, contributing to positive change aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

About the Millennium Fellow

My name is Nero Dusenge HARERIMANA and I was in Rwanda and residents here in Rwanda where I am still now studying at university of Rwanda Nyarugenge campus college of science and technology as civil engineer. I'm passionate about leadership global commitment where priority always iss better wellbeing of people from society.
