Millennium Fellowship Project: Eco-Cook Initiative
The Eco-Cook Initiative is a project based in Kigali, Rwanda, aimed at transforming solid metal waste into affordable, eco-friendly stoves. This project addresses several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action). By converting waste into stoves, Eco-Cook creates economic opportunities for youth, reduces environmental waste, and provides safe cooking options for Kigali’s residents, reducing their dependency on traditional and inefficient stoves.
About the Millennium Fellow
Metucer TWIZERE is brilient young leader who is studies at university of Rwanda (nyarugenge campus) in the faculty of Mining engineering. Metucer has been gruaduated in high school in 2021 in the combunation of mathematic chemistry and biology at sumba secondary school with good marks. Metucer has under gone different project in his studies that take him to the high level of understanding of project preparation and others.
