United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Baho Nkabandi Project

Our project is about helping rural children from vulnerable families in undercoverege areas of Rwanda by providing well balanced meal to them and educational materials, and providing awareness on nutritional programs to eraducate the problem of mulnutrition in Rwanda. This project is set to last six months until June 2025, Now we are raising funds for project by seeking partnerships from different organisations like Imbuto Foundation Rwanda, Enabel Rwanda and Rwanda Biomedical Center(RBC)&MOH. One part of project that has started is planting fruit trees that will support the people in need.

About the Millennium Fellow

Aime Niyigaba is a visionary self-motivated young male who finds passion in lifelong learning, self development and making impact in community. He is Laboratory scientist student at University of Rwanda. He was born in Rwanda, Nyanza district. From his childhood, Aime has been always passionate about fighting against poverty, injustice, family conflict and illiteracy among the youth of today and future. His passion and dedication turned Aime into social action, throughout his high school and university studies, Aime has been engaging in helping kids to go back to school and solve conflicts in the community. He plans to continue in the future in order to give his contribution in succeeding UN’s Sustainable Development goals(SDGs).
