United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Baho Nkabandi Project

Our project is about helping rural children from vulnerable families in undercoverege areas of Rwanda by providing well balanced meal to them and educational materials, and providing awareness on nutritional programs to eraducate the problem of mulnutrition in Rwanda. This project is set to last six months until June 2025, Now we are raising funds for project by seeking partnerships from different organisations like Imbuto Foundation Rwanda, Enabel Rwanda and Rwanda Biomedical Center(RBC)&MOH. One part of project that has started is planting fruit trees that will support the people in need.

About the Millennium Fellow

Liliane NIYIGENA is young girl that study at University of Rwanda in school of dentistry.she was born in Rwanda at northern province and also is study at her country where she is born. She is a good girl who like to work together with other,who want always to embrace change in her community,also she is problem solver . through her secondary school years ,she was a good leader who provides an advice to another girl and even boys how to work hard in order to improve their performance in order to bring change in community.Also she plans to continue in the future.liliane need to be a good doctor who bring change in community by improving the health of people by providing education to people how to prevent diseases and also provide her contribution in the development of the United Nations 'Sustainable Goals.
