United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Baho Nkabandi Project

Our project is about helping rural children from vulnerable families in undercoverege areas of Rwanda by providing well balanced meal to them and educational materials, and providing awareness on nutritional programs to eraducate the problem of mulnutrition in Rwanda. This project is set to last six months until June 2025, Now we are raising funds for project by seeking partnerships from different organisations like Imbuto Foundation Rwanda, Enabel Rwanda and Rwanda Biomedical Center(RBC)&MOH. One part of project that has started is planting fruit trees that will support the people in need.

About the Millennium Fellow

NISHIMWE IKIREZI Cécile, born in Rwanda, is an ophthalmology student at the University of Rwanda. She has a deep passion for helping others, fighting against injustice, and advocating for those in need. Driven by a commitment to finding sustainable solutions to global challenges, she continually seeks to expand her knowledge. As she nears the completion of her undergraduate studies in ophthalmology, Cécile remains dedicated to learning and making a positive impact in her field and beyond.
