" I'm thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow because it allows me to join forces with others who share my passion for making a difference. I’m driven by the belief that young people and communities have the power to tackle the biggest challenges we face today. My work focuses on climate action, youth empowerment, and social justice, especially in helping rural artisans and promoting sustainable practices. I’m committed to creating real, lasting change in my community and beyond by connecting local needs with global solutions. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate Action Changemakers Network
The Climate Action Changemakers Network at the University of Sindh, coordinated by Waqas Ali Khoso, brings together students and faculty to tackle climate change and promote sustainability. Running from August to December, this initiative will engage 50 students collaborating with faculty on various climate-focused activities. The project includes an awareness campaign targeting 500 individuals, three tree-planting events aiming to plant 100 trees, two in-person workshops, and three online webinars reaching at least 500 participants. This collaborative effort showcases the impactful role of students and faculty in fostering lasting environmental change.
