United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Soles for Success

Soles for Success is a project dedicated to providing educational materials, including shoes, as well as menstrual hygiene education. It aims to support students' well-being, enhance learning experiences, and promote overall empowerment.

About the Millennium Fellow

Hermes Chipondeni is hard-working, self-motivated and resilient. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, concentrating on Diplomacy at the United States International University-Africa. Hermes was born and raised in Mchinji district, Malawi but now he's in Nairobi Kenya for education. He is passionate about improving the accessibility of education to less privileged learners in his community. previously he has taken a lot of initiatives to achieve his passion, for example, he mobilized examination fees for 161 students. His passion is aligned with United Nation Sustainable Goal 4 which emphasises education for all regardless of gender.
