UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT JOSEPH PHIRI, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2024.
United States International University Africa | Nairobi, Kenya | Advancing SDG 4, SDG 3 & UNAI 3

" I'm thrilled to become a Millennium Fellow because I'm passionate about creating a world where no girl is held back by her menstrual cycle. Growing up, I saw friends and family members miss school and opportunities due to period poverty. It broke my heart to see their potential limited by something so natural. Now, I'm driven to shatter menstrual stigmas and ensure girls can thrive without barriers. As a Millennium Fellow, I'll amplify my advocacy, connecting with like-minded changemakers to create a global wave of change. Together, we can make menstruation a symbol of empowerment, not shame." "
