Millennium Fellowship Project: Soles for Success

Soles for Success is a project dedicated to providing educational materials, including shoes, as well as menstrual hygiene education. It aims to support students' well-being, enhance learning experiences, and promote overall empowerment.

About the Millennium Fellow

Irungu Yvonne Wambui is a 20 year old smart ,bold and ambitious psychology major student at the United States International University Africa.She was born in the born in the capital city of Kenya,Nairobi. Growing up,her father was abusive and this had a toll on her,her siblings and mother.She vowed that she would never want anyone else to be put in the same position as her mother.She aims to create awareness on matters domestic violence .With a deep understanding of the psychological impact of abuse, Yvonne draws from her personal experiences to advocate for change. Through her work, she aims to empower individuals and communities to recognize, address, and prevent domestic violence. After graduation, Yvonne plans to continue her advocacy by starting up her own psychological firm , focusing on support and education for survivors.
