Millennium Fellowship Project: CyberVigilantix
It is a website designed to address the threat of cybercrime by assessing the effectiveness of existing laws and evaluating whether they equitably protect all stakeholders. This knowledge-sharing platform empowers students and policymakers to analyze current legal and political frameworks for tackling different types of cybercrime. It provides actionable insights to help users safeguard their digital identities and build resilience against cyber threats, aiming for a lasting social impact in the field of cybersecurity.
About the Millennium Fellow
Eesha Fahad is a fourth-year student at the University of Toronto studying Criminology & Sociolegal Studies and Peace, Conflict & Justice. Her research encompasses the analysis of cyber victimization in different regions, as well as the examination of laws and regulations that contribute to discrimination in Canada. As a Junior Research Fellow at the Canadian Law Review, she has explored the economic ramifications of cyber espionage, championing legal reforms to bolster national security. Additionally, her work as a consultant with the World Bank has advanced data collection efforts on knowledge generation in Africa. Eesha is passionate about legal advocacy and international cooperation, with a commitment to making a positive impact on global security and human rights.
