Millennium Fellowship Project: The DreamGirl Project
The DreamGirl Project was aimed at reaching out to girls in 4 secondary schools in my local community to talk to them about career choices, self development, menstrual hygiene, reproductive health as well as self breast examination to detect changes in breast contour to make the breast cancer awareness month. We were accompanied by the President of the Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State Branch as well as the Welfare Chairman of the association.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ndifreke Okpongete is a young enthusiastic medic from Ikot Essien Itu mbonuso in Akwa Ibom State Nigeria and currently a 500 level Student of the department of Medicine and Surgery University of Uyo. He is passionate about community services, quality education and quality healthcare for everyone. He is the representative of the faculty of Clinical Sciences at the Student Union Senate, University of Uyo . Ndifreke is a great team player and holds dearly the mantra 'You'll never walk alone' reflecting his strong belief in the power of collaboration and teamwork. He is humble, honest and easy-going.
