United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: MamaBand

Developing a stress and alcohol consumption monitor to help detect stress levels of expectant mothers and offer alternatives to curb alcohol consumption.

About the Millennium Fellow

Kumbirai Matika is a self-driven goal-oriented young lady who is passionate about leveraging her skills and knowledge to make a difference in the world. She was born in Africa, Zimbabwe, and is currently an Actuarial Science student at the University of Zimbabwe. She has managed to join clubs and societies with like-minded people who she has joined hands with in order to being a sustainable impact. She aims to create solutions that will bring change in the community and serve as a Sustainable Development champion.
