Vanderbilt University | Nashville, United States | Advancing SDG 3, SDG 17 & UNAI 7

" My dedication to advancing equitable healthcare solutions stems from my personal experience as the daughter of Indian immigrants, where I’ve witnessed firsthand the struggles my community faces in obtaining quality care. The barriers of language and misinformation are not just abstract issues—they impact real lives. Through Via Health, I am committed to dismantling these obstacles, ensuring that refugees and immigrants have the tools they need to navigate healthcare with confidence and dignity. My work is driven by a profound desire to turn these challenges into opportunities for meaningful transformation. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Via Health
"Via Health is a healthcare navigation platform I co-founded to address the healthcare access challenges faced by refugees and immigrants in Tennessee. These communities often encounter obstacles like language barriers and low health literacy, making it difficult to find essential medical care. Via Health provides a user-friendly app that delivers healthcare information in users’ native languages, helping them navigate complex healthcare systems and locate culturally sensitive providers. By empowering individuals with the knowledge and resources they need, Via Health works toward reducing health disparities and fostering independence, making healthcare more accessible for marginalized populations.
