Xi'An Jiaotong-Liverpool University | Suzhou, China | Advancing SDG 5, SDG 17 & UNAI 6

" Ever since I became an independent person, I have been interested in sociology and promoting social justice. However, due to the limitation of my major in the university and the limitation of my path during my growth, I cannot improve the social situation as much as I wish. Therefore, this Millennium Research Fellowship is a great opportunity for me to make greater contributions, do more things and improve myself greatly through this platform. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: “She” and “He” Should Be The Same
The project titled "She" and "He" Should Be the Same aims to investigate and address gender discrimination in the workplace, particularly within the context of Suzhou and the XJTLU community. The project utilizes a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative research to gather comprehensive data on gender-based discrimination, including pay gaps, career advancement challenges, and workplace culture. The findings will be used to develop practical solutions and recommendations for both educational institutions and businesses to promote gender equality and support female employees. The project also seeks to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and advocate for policy changes to create a more inclusive work environment.
