" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow to expand my understanding of how to enact social impact. Being in a community of dedicated individuals gives me hope that our changes may just be achievable. This experience is a special moment where we will have the opportunity to learn from each other and apply it to our own journeys. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Equitable Community Health Education

Equitable Community Health Education is about connecting with local community teachers and staff to fill gaps in health education in inter-city public middle and high schools. As a Community Liaison for Yale Community Health Educators, we reach out to local schools to offer our curriculum on a variety of health topics like hygeine, exercise, and consent to supplement their existing programming. If schools feel they are lacking programming in a certain area, we conduct a series of workshops on that desired topic. Our goal is to support existing health education and support programming to ensure that youth receive a breadth of health education.
