" Using communication as a form of reducing cultural barriers has always been important to me. With the Millennium Fellowship, I can collaborate with others to find new ways of creating cross-cultural dialogue outside of my own life. "

About the Millennium Fellow

Lucas Aurore is a third year student at Yale University studying Economics and Global Affairs with a concentration in Chinese. As a speaker of five languages, he feels very comfortable traveling and living around the globe, but San Francisco is his home. Lucas has always been passionate about education, spending much of his time in high school teaching Martial Arts and working in French Language camps. In line with this passion, he has just finished a summer position teaching English at a non-profit in Hong Kong! He will also continue working with the Yale Prison Education Initiative with whom he has worked since beginning university. Lucas wants to follow this path in carving out a space that combines his passions for traveling and learning languages with his dedication to education.
