" I am driven by the belief that young people, especially women and marginalized communities, can transform society when given the tools and opportunities to lead. Being a Millennium Fellow allows me to amplify this impact, collaborate with change makers across the globe, and turn innovative ideas into tangible solutions that create lasting social change. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Yegna Mental Health Initiative
Yegna is a youth-centered mental health initiative designed to provide accessible emotional support, awareness, and safe spaces for students facing stress, depression, and social stigma. The project focuses on mental health education, peer support sessions, storytelling campaigns, and resource sharing to help students recognize early signs of emotional distress and seek help without fear or shame. By combining awareness activities with practical coping tools, Yegna empowers young people to prioritize their well-being and support one another in a compassionate, stigma-free environment.
