I help students with limited finances access education by providing free resources like tutoring, scholarships info, and budgeting workshops. Think of it as a support hub where they get the tools and guidance to stay in school without money worries. So far, we’i've partnered with local schools and community centers to host weekly tutoring sessions—in-person—for subjects like math, science, and language arts. The project isn’t just about money—it’s about building confidence. Many students feel overwhelmed or isolated, so we’i've added peer mentorship circles to connect them with older students who’i've navigated similar challenges. .
About the Millennium Fellow
Meron Dinku is a fourth-year Accounting and Finance student at Addis Ababa University, passionate about leveraging financial knowledge for social and economic development. She has gained practical experience through internships at the Development Bank of Ethiopia, Abdi-Electrical and Electromechanical Enterprise, and ATD Ethiopia, as well as volunteer work in community initiatives. Meron is dedicated to building expertise in financial management, development finance, and sustainability, with a vision to contribute to impactful projects that empower communities and promote equitable growth.
