" My commitment to human rights, social justice, and gender advocacy is at the heart of what I do. With these values, being a Millennium Fellow will allow me to join a community of change makers where I can turn my ideas and experiences into tangible impact, especially in empowering women and supporting vulnerable communities. This fellowship will help me grow as an advocate, enable me to challenge injustices more effectively, and create meaningful, lasting change. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Unveiling Resentment: She's Not Alone
“Unveiling Resentment: She’s Not Alone” is a project that creates a safe space for women to express their frustrations and anger toward the injustices they face in society. It acknowledges that women are often expected to suppress these feelings, to heal quickly and quietly after enduring injustices. It creates a space to confront the silence surrounding women’s pain, and views them as a necessary step in processing experiences of inequality, discrimination, and personal harm. Beyond providing this emotional outlet for solidarity, the project empowers participants by connecting them with opportunities that systemic barriers have previously denied them, enabling women to reclaim agency and build sustainable personal growth.
