United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Cervical Cancer Awareness

Cervical Cancer Awareness, as the name implies is a community centered awareness and HPV vaccination initiative carried out by the Millennium Fellows of Abia State University. Our goal was to bridge the knowledge gap surrounding cervical cancer and empower young girls with accurate information and increase the uptake of the HPV vaccine within our local community.

About the Millennium Fellow

Wachuku Ugochukwu Obialor is a brilliant, enthusiastic and passionate young medical student at Abia State University, Uturu. He was born and brought up in Abia State, Nigeria and currently undergoing his medical school training, in his penultimate class.
Who out of passion for caring for the sick considered this career path. And he has over the years honed and built the necessary qualities to care for not only the sick but to all around him. He is a strong advocate of social impact and has volunteered for numerous social actions. He has a strong desire to empower the younger generation most especially the teenagers with the necessary information needed to navigate this peculiar phase of life. Hence, the conception of his initiative Equip Them.
