About the Millennium Fellow
Okonkwo Amarachukwu Divine is a dedicated and driven final-year MBBS student with a strong commitment to advancing public health and delivering compassionate, evidence-based medical care. Her academic journey has been marked by excellence in clinical training and a particular passion for preventive medicine and rural health initiatives. Currently, she is conducting a community-based research project titled “Perception, Knowledge, and Prevalence of Hypertension among Market Women in Ido-Ekiti, Ekiti State”, reflecting her dedication to addressing health challenges in underserved populations. Her work blends rigorous scientific inquiry with a deep understanding of the social and cultural determinants of health, aiming to bridge the gap between medical knowledge and practical community impact.
Known among peers and mentors for her keen attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and empathetic approach to patient care, Divine aspires to make meaningful contributions to medicine both within the clinic and beyond it. She is particularly interested in public health advocacy, medical education, and initiatives that empower communities to take charge of their health.
