About the Millennium Fellow

Esther Ogunmola is a passionate young female from Nigeria. She currently resides in Ido-Ekiti, Ekiti State in Nigeria. She is a final year medical student at Age Babalola University, Ido Campus. She is the definition of growth. Ever since secondary school, she has always had a flair for women and children's right. Coming from a developing country and seeing how marginalized this part of the population was, further deepened her passion. She's always been placed in positions of leadership due to her honesty and her good communication skills. She's respectful to everyone around her, making sure they are comfortable to speak to her.
She also has good organizational skills as she frequently took part in organizing children's day event at her religious institution.
She always looks for new way to develop herself. While still in medical school, she became a fellow of the Afara Initiative program. This is a program which helps to train the next generation leaders to make them well rounded. She also had a certificate in leadership from the prestigious Covenant university.
So a leader, go getter, passionate, organized, all these are qualities of Esther which puts her in a good position to be a Millennium fellow. With this fellowship, she would have a bigger platform to advocate for the rights of women and children; sharpen her mind as she meets with other like-minded youth and help her become a better leader and follower.
