" I'm so excited to be apart of the Millennium Fellowship this year because it is such an amazing platform to achieve out my goals concerning Vaccine hesitancy. Growing up and in my medical school journey , I noticed how misinformation and fear could stop people from getting life-saving vaccines, and I knew I wanted to change that.
It is a platform that gives me the connection , the position and the people to work with to make a global impact and I'm thrilled to be part of a global network of change makers who are equally committed to creating healthier, informed communities. "

About the Millennium Fellow

Olatomiwa Precious Olanike — a 5th year medical student who believes medicine is more than prescriptions and diagnoses; it’s about trust, connection, and making people feel seen. Growing up in Nigeria, she saw how misinformation could hurt communities, and it lit a fire in me to be part of the change.
Outside the hospital and classroom, she's all about singing in the choir , drawing, and reading a novel or two. Food is very important to her as she loves eating Amala and Ewedu as a pure Yoruba babe.
She's not just chasing a career but building a future where healthcare feels human, because to her, healing starts with heart. She loves being involved in Volunteering experiences here and there with some experiences as an advocate for the girl child in her College.
Through the Millennium Fellowship, she plans to lead a project to tackle vaccine hesitancy — breaking myths, having honest conversations, and meeting people where they are.
