United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: CLEAN HANDS,HEALTHY LIFE

Clean Hands, Healthy Life” is a public health initiative aimed at promoting proper hand hygiene practices to prevent the spread of infections. The project educates individuals and communities on the importance of regular handwashing with soap and clean water to improve overall health and well-being. About the Millennium Fellow

Ruth Enyong is a medical student at Afe Babalola University, Nigeria. She is passionate about tackling poverty and hunger through innovative, people-centered, sustainable solutions. Her experiences in medical school have revealed the deep link between health and socioeconomic inequality, sparking her commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Ruth believes in the power of education, collaboration and advocacy to create lasting impact. Through her project, she envisions combining her knowledge with community-driven initiatives to advance health equity, food security and poverty alleviation especially in underserved areas. Her journey is fueled by curiosity, compassion and a drive for meaningful change.
