Ahmadu Bello University Samaru | Zaria, Nigeria | Advancing SDG 13 & UNAI 6

" I am deeply passionate about environmental conservation and sustainable development. I believe that local, targeted action is the most powerful catalyst for achieving global sustainability goals. My own academic journey has been shaped by learning from experts in this field, and I am eager to pay that forward by contributing my skills and collaborating with others to create tangible, positive change for our planet. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: ALL GREEN PROJECT
My project, "ALL GREEN PROJECT" was a sensitization and empowerment campaign designed to translate the global goal of SDG 13 (Climate Action) into local, tangible action within secondary schools. The initiative combined an educational workshop on the causes and local impacts of climate change with a hands-on tree planting exercise. This dual approach ensured students not only understood the problem but also participated in a powerful, nature-based solution.
A key differentiator of the project was its integrated empowerment session, which connected academic perseverance and personal ambition to the fight for a sustainable future. We guided students on how to build momentum in their studies, framing their education as the essential toolkit for becoming the innovators and leaders who will solve environmental challenges. The project successfully demonstrated that climate action and youth empowerment are deeply interconnected, fostering a generation of informed, proactive, and hopeful environmental stewards.
