" Becoming a Millennium Fellow excites me because it aligns with my dream of using law and leadership to drive meaningful change. My journey has shown me how easily voices can be silenced, and that is why I do the work I do, to advocate, to uplift, and to ensure that no one feels invisible in the pursuit of justice and dignity. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: HER ADVOCACY PROJECT

The HER Advocacy Project is a women’s rights initiative designed to educate, empower, and amplify the voices of young women and girls in underserved communities. The project focuses on raising awareness about gender equality, legal rights, and access to justice, particularly for women who often face social and cultural barriers that silence their experiences.
Through community sensitization, advocacy campaigns, and educational workshops, the project provides participants with knowledge about their rights under Nigerian law and the importance of self-advocacy. It also seeks to foster dialogue between young women and local stakeholders to promote inclusive participation and social change.
By bridging the gap between awareness and action, the HER Advocacy Project aims to build a generation of informed and confident women who can stand up for their rights and contribute meaningfully to achieving SDG 5 – Gender Equality and SDG 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
