Millennium Fellowship Project: Poverty in Yemen
Yemen is suffering from a severe humanitarian crisis due to poverty and malnutrition, where millions of people face significant challenges in accessing basic food and healthcare. Poverty and malnutrition have a profound impact on children and pregnant women, leading to serious health problems and long-term effects on society.
About the Millennium Fellow
Sama Al-kassmi is a Physical Therapy student at Al-Razi University, Sana’a – Yemen. She chose this field out of her passion to help people regain health and mobility. Sama is dedicated to promoting rehabilitation and raising awareness about preventive care in her community. Through her Millennium Fellowship project, she aims to empower individuals with limited access to healthcare to improve their quality of life. She hopes to continue expanding her work after graduation, building initiatives that make physical therapy more accessible and inspiring positive change in society.
