" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it gives me the platform to turn my passion for clean water and sustainable environments into real action, improving health and dignity in my community. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Kiry Plastic
My project is entirely focused on tackling the pressing and urgent challenge of plastic waste mismanagement contributing to the negative impact on the lives of aquatic animals negatively in the Kiryandongo Refugee Camp/settlement. Therefore, I am aiming to create a sustainable plastic waste management system with community involvement at the center of the problem.
