" "Being a Millennium Fellow offers the opportunity to turn innovative sustainability ideas into real-world impact. I pursue this work to empower communities, transform waste into valuable resources, and help build a future where environmental responsibility and social well-being go hand in hand." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Circular Economy Hub -- ALU
The Circular Economy Hub (CE HUB) is a student-led initiative at the African Leadership University focused on reducing waste and promoting practical sustainability on campus. The project creates a space where students can learn about circular economy principles, experiment with waste-to-value ideas, and build simple solutions that encourage reuse and responsible consumption. Through workshops, guest sessions, awareness campaigns, and collaboration with the Career Development team, CE HUB helps students understand how sustainability connects to everyday life and future career paths. The goal is to build a culture where environmental responsibility becomes part of the campus identity and students feel empowered to take action.
