Millennium Fellowship Project: SheThrives: Holistic Support for Kayayei Girls

SheThrives is a holistic empowerment initiative designed to support Kayayei girls — young migrant head porters in Ghana’s urban markets. The project focuses on improving their health, hygiene, safety, and personal development through interactive workshops, menstrual hygiene support, health education, confidence-building sessions, and practical skills training. SheThrives aims to create a safe space where Kayayei girls can learn, grow, and gain the knowledge and tools they need to build healthier, safer, and more hopeful futures.
