United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: SESA (Senegambia Sustainable Agriculture)

Senegambia Sustainable Agriculture is committed to reducing post-harvest losses by advancing sustainable agroforestry and agro-processing systems. We empower vulnerable farmers to improve the quality and marketability of their products through innovative technologies and training, helping to increase food security, expand market access, and strengthen local economies. Our target audience includes farmers and unemployed youth in The senegambia region, most especially women, whom we aim to empower by providing opportunities to showcase their talents and develop their skills for greater effectiveness and efficiency.

About the Millennium Fellow

Kaddijatou E Kanyi is a vibrant young student, who is know for her compassion for education, counseling, learning new things and doing a business of her own. She is born and raised in the Gambia, precisely in a small community called Jambanjelly. She is known for inspiring young kids, her age, and even those above her. Kaddijatou has proven herself during her senior school where she normally takes first position in most courses like Environmental science, business and Economics. Currently she is been admitted to the African leadership University, where she is studying Entrepreneurial Leadership. A school known for choosing missions rather than majors. Kaddijatou is currently focusing on her project which is building a sustainable agricultural industry in the Gambia, by doing that she will help farmers to scale up their businesses and also promote economic development, foreign exchange and empowerment to these farmers.
Above all she is willing to teach the younger people what she learnt from the Millennium Fellowship. Thank you.
