" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it will give me the chance to grow my skills and work with others who are also passionate about solving real problems. The Fellowship will help me create solutions that improve health, water access, and agriculture, while contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Recycled Bottle Hydroponics for Food Security

This project focuses on designing and building an affordable hydroponics system made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. The goal was to create a simple, low-cost method that allows households and small-scale farmers, especially in areas with limited land, resources, or fertile soil, to grow vegetables efficiently.
By reusing plastic bottles, the system not only reduces waste but also provides a sustainable way to help communities grow food even in challenging environments.
