Millennium Fellowship Project: Access4All community rehabilitation project
Access4All Community Rehabilitation Project aims to support individuals in need of rehabilitation, particularly those with physical mobility challenges. This includes people living with conditions such as cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, stroke, amputations, and other mobility-related impairments.
Access4All is committed to promoting inclusivity, affordability, and accessibility to rehabilitation services. The project seeks to make rehabilitation a right, not a privilege, ensuring that individuals receive the care they need regardless of their financial or social circumstances.This means that, individuals suffering from physical mobility issues may get access to therapy sessions even at the comfort of their homes(home-based therapy sessions). In this, Access4All reduces the burden of high transport costs to rehabilitation centers and supports caregivers who often struggle to balance family responsibilities with the financial demands of ongoing care. By bringing rehabilitation closer to the community, the project empowers individuals to achieve better functional independence while easing the strain on families.

About the Millennium Fellow
Odote Angela Adhiambo is a 21 year old student attending Amref international university and she is a 4th year student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. She is passionate about mental health and health promotion in marginalized areas and also promoting community based rehabilitation on persons with disability in her home country, Kenya.
