" “ I believe real impact stems from genuine intention, empathy, and the drive to take the right actions. I'm excited to join the Millennium Fellowship to connect with others who are equally driven to create meaningful change. This program offers the chance to exchange ideas, learn from diverse perspectives, and grow alongside peers who share the same commitment to making a difference, allowing me to strengthen my ability to contribute to lasting social impact.” "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Bconnect
Bconnect is a non-profit youth-led organisation that focuses on elderly care, advocacy, and intergenerational bonding. We conduct visits to eldercare homes where volunteers conduct art therapy and storytelling sessions with elderly people to enhance their mental well-being. We also have an active social media campaign that raises awareness of the struggles, both mental and physical, faced by elderly individuals, to help bring a shift in societal attitudes toward ageing and become more aware. Through Bconnect, I want to create a society where older individuals are valued, heard, and supported, ensuring that their age is seen not as a burden but as a stage of life that deserves care, love, and dignity. The elders in my life have given me so much and I think through Bconnect I want to give back that love.
