Millennium Fellowship Project: For What It's Worth

For What It's Worth, is a spotify podcast about being human. The intricacies of human behaviour, our 'not so unique' coping mechanisms, feelings, reactions to situations, adapting to transitions and evolving as individuals. This serves as a realization that at the very core, we are all connected. There is something powerful about raw and intimate conversations, when people open a part of themselves to you, to understand. Through candid conversations about the 'not so talked about' yet 'so strongly experienced' things, I want my listeners to feel, to reflect and question, and find comfort in our stories and voices. It will cover broad themes such as, identity, acceptance, self-love, body image, friendship, success, love and so much more, in the most vulnerable form. My guests will all be common people- people like you and me, experiencing life their own way. It will also feature professionals like my teachers, doctors, therapists and people I look up to.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nitya Gunturu is a passionate, driven and ambitious girl, residing in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, and belongs to Hyderabad, Telangana, India. She is currently a first year student at the prestigious Ashoka University, with an intended Economics Major and an Entrepreneurship/Biology/Psychology minor (she has a million interests and choosing is a problem). Ever since she was little, she has been involved in community service of various kinds, through the Sathya Sai Seva Organization, and seva (meaning service) is now deeply integral to who she is. Nitya strongly believes in the power of the common man- you and me, and everyone around us to create a positive impact on each other through communication. Through her podcast- 'For What It's Worth' , she leverages the value of daily conversations people have and the conversations they don't have, to create a safe space for people to open up and feel less alone. Through the MCN Fellowship, she aims to grow her podcast so that it reaches more people, crosses borders and in the end, reminds someone that it is okay to be human- to feel, to not feel, to win, to fail, or simply- to just be.
