" I’m excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it’s an opportunity to build solutions that create real change and make opportunities more accessible to all. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Rights to Reach

Right to Reach is a project that developed an LLM-based tool to help people navigate and understand legal rights that rightfully belong to them but are often inaccessible in real life due to lack of education and awareness. The project serves rural populations in India and older people by combining technology with on-ground workshops. During the Fellowship, 400 participants were reached through eight workshops, and the Justice Navigator legal-rights assistant was launched, engaging 812 users in six weeks and generating 14,000+ website impressions. Real case studies, hands-on demonstrations, and WhatsApp-based tools made learning immediately useful, while future improvements include stronger volunteer capacity and smoother technical infrastructure.
