Millennium Fellowship Project: Our Water: Protecting and Restoring India's Rivers

Our Water plans on protecting and restoring the water sources in India, specifically the rivers. This will be continued through site visits, working alongside NGOs on projects such as cleaning drives, and through dialogue between the local communities. I visited the Yamuna River multiple times and spoke with communities that live near and rely on the river for their livelihood. Through research on government programs, NGOs, and individual initiatives, I learned that while cleaning is essential, addressing the root causes through education and technological innovation is equally important.
